is there a sept for the Douglas Stewarts ; or those Douglas that married Stewarts or Stuarts

is there a sept for the Douglas Stewarts ; or those Douglas that married Stewarts or Stuarts and V V ? I have no ideas where to start to find the link between the black douglas / sir James Douglas and I only have late 1700s Douglas Stewarts . not having time to get into research on anscestry sites I'm hoping someone can give me a little info .I did list before my G G Grandmother Margaret Douglas Stewart ; she married a Rust late 1700-early 1800 Deeside aberdeen and we are descended from the Black douglas and royalty , written in a book ,but thats all I have I'm hoping someone whos connected will read this sometime and email me jstoddard@actrix.co.nz or send me a message on this site thanks JAckie

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
