I can send you what I have on Aaron's line. Most of it is in the US, but I have some information on the Canadian family. Some of Aaron's family and all of Abigail's family went to Knox Co OH and my database follows them most closely. Write me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I can send you a Genealogy Report from my database. I can also give you a couple of contacts who descend from Aaron and Phoebe. Nice to meet you.
Levi Lewis Douglass was b Sept 29 1781 in Chester (Black River ) Morris Co NJ and died April 20 1852 in Woodhouse Ontario Canada. His parents were Aaron and Phoebe Lewis Douglass of Roxbury, Morris Co NJ. Phoebe was the daughter of Levi Lewis and Mary unkn of Mendham NJ. Aaron's sister Abigail, my ancestor, m James Lewis, Phoebe's brother. DNA testing shows that this Douglass family is descended from William Douglas b 1610, of New London. There is no link to Mordicai.
Levi m Elizabeth Monro in NJ and they were still there in 1803, before they went to Canada. They had 10 children. I have more information on this family. Which of their children is your line?
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
