Thanks for asking, Henry.  But things are not too good.

I 'upgraded' my publishing software, and the structure went horribly wrong. I have not been able to publish anything since mid-January, and, after many attempts to correct it, have had to roll back to an earlier version, so have lost several updates and corrections that folk have kindly sent me, so have to start again on those.

A side effect is that my other projects are getting behind too.

On a positive note, I have taught myself not to get stressed by this, and just mosey along.

But I have also been thinking of you!  I linked together a couple of your posts recently, for ease of reference, (my ease of reference!) and think we need to look at linking more of them so that the story is easier to follow.

How's yourself?

Yours aye,

William

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
