<p>Gavin Douglas (1474?—I522), Scottish poet and bishop, third son of Archibald, 5th earl of Angus, was Bishop of Dunkeld. Whether he lived is a different matter!</p>
<p>There are not many references to Dunkeld in the Douglas Archives, but using the search function in both the genealogy database and in the history section throws up some.</p>
<p>There were certainly Douglases in Dowally, which is nearby (qv) and killiehassie(qv) (Logierait).</p>
<p>I wonder how and if they Douglas families link…</p>
