'Stacy' signed up with a good resume - but obviously is a spammer.

Sorry!  'She'  is now banned.

Greetings, from Squamish B.C.

I'm a little daft Canadian half Scot. I replied once, never heard back until today from the same person posting me from our Douglas site. Is it possible my computer is compromised or just my email account.

I'm looking to trace my Scottish roots & meet new relations, here & abroad!

Does anyone in Scotland remember my Uncle Johnny Douglas a businessman from Brantford Ont., his sister ,my auntie Margarete, a school teacher from Toronto or my Grandfather Alexander Douglas.

My grandparents moved hear from Scotland in the 50's with family, Grandfathers last resting place is in Cambridge Ontario with my dear Grandmother Joanne Douglas, maiden name Robins , from Devon, England.

Both my uncle John & grandfather Alex played football for the Queens Park Rangers. John was a good striker whom came to Canada for a Football tourney. He loved it so much when he returned to Scotland he was convinced to move to Canada and encouraged his bother & sister to bring their families too.

I want to get farther back in my relations history, My Great Granddad was a William Douglas, a tailor.

I was born in Canada, my father Robin in Scotland, and has a United Kingdom passport, he is not considered a Canadian because he was 7 when he arrived in 54-55, he is still a landed immigrant. lol

I'd love to make it to the gathering next year, If Goddess willing I'll be there too, thank-you!

All my Relations!

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
