What's new?

I have today added several documents to the Douglas Archives.  In themselves, these are not significant enough to qualify as being listed in  'Whats new?' or 'Recently revised' but will be useful to those who stumble upon them as part of their family research.

I note that there is deep research being done on the Northamptonshire Douglases, probably in connection with our mystery man, William Douglas born 1610.  He popped up in research into my mother-in-law's family with a totally erroneous family linkage.

I have been experiencing warning of difficulties with linking to the genealogy database, and I expect that you have been too.  This is, I suppose, connected to the high rate of visits to the Douglas Archives, as recorded by the statistics. There appear to be 250 online right now - and I can see no duplication in the IP addresses to indicate anything untoward.

This chart is from this morning - ie still half the day to go!

Are that many really interested in Douglas history? Wow!

If you are among those visiting the Douglas Archives, then I hope that you found what you were looking for.  Bear in mind that there are additional functions available to those who are registered users of the genealogy database.
