I have just been trawling through the DouglasDNA project results for a particular ancestral line.
Looking at all the results I noticed some interesting apparent 'brick walls' and wondered if DNA has helped those lines get further with their research.
To pick one of the lines, I noticed that Scotti and Douglas Scotti appear in different sections, and do not appear to link back to a common ancestor. There are others that I would have said should show a common ancestor, but appear not to.
I do not pretend to understand DNA, but are we learning from this research, and if so what?
