Douglas's Wallace (2)

I never had so many comments on a painting as much as I did with this one on facebook. It's just my own private expression of what Wallace might have looked like at the time. He was titled SIR William Wallace. Not some raggy kilted torag, with his face painted blue, but as Abe Lincoln once said, " You can't please all of the people all of the time." My old friend, the Scottish author Nigel Tranter was always approached by some who would say to him, " How do you know what so -and- so said at a particular point in time.."
