Profile Information:

Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
My great uncle William Band born about1835 married Elizabeth ( Mary. ) Band born about 1844 and they had a daughter Mary Ann Band born c 1873 who married Percy Douglas. They farmed possibly at Spella House ( situated at the crossroads of Banbury Rd and Upper Boddington Road , the name is still on the Banbury Rd wall visible on Google street view).
A distant cousin, related to the Percy Douglas here made a family tree and located the Douglases at Chipping Norton, but this was wrong. She said that Percy and his brother were the last of the Douglas family to farm having done so in the area for over 300 ( possibly 400?) years and a church clock was donated to celebrate this ( 1500 to 19 xx?). I can not find which church has the clock. Percy and Mary had no descendants.
Who is your earliest known Douglas ancestor?
Percy Douglas.

    Welcome to our group, John.

Where are Banbury Rd and Upper Boddington Road?

I have located a Spella House in Lower Boddington, Daventry.  Is that the one to which you refer?

    Yours aye,

    William
