Maybe if you could advise details of parentage you have found this could help, I've looked at the marriage record on familysearch and couldn't find details of any parents.

Also maybe you could consider joining the Australian Immigrants sub-group as there is a lot of info there and also members with Australian connections:

There are a number of records on official Australian websites that may help you, this site has a copy of the Will of William Douglas who died in Longford in 1878 plus other records:

Possibly you already have this will and it may not help on parentage, but hopefully there is a record somewhere else that will assist

I have previously located this and have found it difficult to read, but now have a contact at the local library family history section who has asked me to bring it in.... I really appreciate your suggestions. I chose not to open the other links as my computer sent out a warning, not to.
