Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
Ronald S. Douglas, nephew of the Marquess of Queensbury and first cousin of Sir William Sholto Douglas. Ronald was born in the UK in 1899 and died in the USA in 1964 - he was my great uncle.
Ronald's brother: Lieutenant Eric Hamilton Ellerslie Douglas, born Ilkley, Yorkshire, October 1896; served with the Royal Artillery during the Great War; Commissioned Second Lieutenant, 2.10.1916; Lieutenant 1.7.1917; died as a result of a fall during a horse race at Huntingdon, 13.5.1939.
His medals sold at auction in July 2015. I wonder who sold them?

Welcome to our group, Sarah.
I had not come across your great uncle before. I think he arrived in California in 1945? But I have not been able to work out who his parents were.
