Now, those deeds sound really exciting! I presume you mean that you have a copy of the deeds? Do you also have a transcript that you can share with us?
As you will be aware, William is key to many researchers anxious to trace their ancestors back to Scotland and/or England. I would love to be able to find a way of getting back passed that hurdle.
How do you fit into the Douglas family? Can you trace your family back to William?

I have just received a folder of material from New Zealand, so have a lot to work through at the moment. As we are having a rainy summer, I do not feel guilty about spending time on our family history.
