Fortunately for me - the maternal side of my grandmothers family has been well researched but I don't have a lot on her Dad - Dugald - what has come up that you think it may not be the same person. Is Dugald and Catherine your great grandparents or grandparents?
I read back through your messages and see it is great-grandparents (same as me). When I look at some of the genealogy links for Dugald, in particular his mother, there are 2 sons named Dugald 1852 and Dugald Roy 1854 - I wonder which is correct. One would presume if you had a second child with the same name, the first one must be deceased. However, in other family trees, it shows my great-grandfathers birth date as 1952. Have you any clarity on this?
