    Is this the Samuel H. Douglas, said to be from Howard county, Missouri, who settled in Chilhowee township, Johnson Co., Missouri, in 1832?

    I have a note that he was born in about 1726 either in Scotland or possibly Albemarle Co., Virginia. So was he just passing through Missouri? He died before 1850 in Chilhowee.
