    Jonathon, what clues do you have?  Dates and places help.  So does knowledge of his employment. Was he in the armed forces? (Does US army refer to him - or you?) And who was the musician?

    Do you know your grandmother's details? Someone may he researching her line, and have come across your grandfather's details.

     The War of 1812 is not well covered in the Douglas Archives - but should be.  It would be good if someone could write up an article??
