    Is this the Mary Elizabeth who married Newton Duke in 1906?

    I think her ancestor Thomas Douglas came to Tennessee from North Carolina, possibly around 1850?

    Thomas is said to be a descendant of William Douglass, born about 1668 in Midlothian, Scotland, and Grisheald MacCleand.

    Not everyone is certain about this William.
