There is something vaguely familiar about this name ( John Watson Douglas, born in Ferryden,) - but I cannot put my finger on it - yet!

There are/were several Douglas families in and around Montrose, with the Douglases of Glenbervie, and the Earls of Forfar not being far away.

Watson is a name used by the Earl of Morton at about that time, so there is lots to work on.

I am sure we can crack this one!
