Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
william alexander Grodon Doublas *1880-1948), son of Richard Stanford Douglas (d. 1970, Westbury, Tasmania) and his wife Florence (Flora) Isabel Douglas (1882-1964), daughter of Peter John Douglas (1847-1915) and Annie Isabel,, both buried in New Ground Cemetery, Devonport, Tasmania.
My question is: where they cousins, and if so, first, second or third? I think I have ruled out first cousins, but cannot verify the link.
Who is your earliest known Douglas ancestor?
My family tree is Hungerford, and we are preparing a pedigree, which includes the Loane family, from which the Hungerfords have multiple links. the Douglas family married into the Loane family through Mary Alexander Loane, in 1870, Westbury, Tasmania.
