    I am a Douglas, but my maternal grandmother was a Burns, so I would be interested to see if we have any connections.

    I have a note that Jesse might be the son of Thomas Douglas and Edith Thompson, but also have a big question mark against that. Thomas (born about 1779 in Virginia) is the son of Rodham Douglas Sr. and Magdaline Lewis.
