A collection of historical and genalogical records

The life of Charles Pilliet, written by Michael Pringle, edited November 2018.  this manuscript is on wordpress ,  In the manuscript  about the Life of Charles  Pilliett , Micheal Pringle   makes references to a Mrs. Godwin  several times  To my knowledge Pringle is  not a relative , however It states   verbatim - 'From 1911 in Kupang he [Charles Pilliet] was living with a Mrs Godwin, who was the widow of Herbert Godwin, son of an Australian newspaper editor.  Adelaide Godwin was the daughter of Thomas Drysdale, who was the British Consul for Timor Koepang until his death prior to 1911.''

if the photo were taken as it states 1910 in Koepang-Timor that would be the year of Neetije Hazaart Drysdale death...

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
