Hi Brad, thanks for getting back to me. It's good to see you on top of the math. Ironically, this Douglass bloodline's genetics doesn't shoot too many blanks as the men grow into their years of wisdom. I was the youngest in my family, and my father was 52 when I was born. My father was the youngest of 5 born in 1914; his father also the youngest was born in 1867. My grandfather's father, my great grandfather, was 50 years old when he was born, putting his birth @ 1817. That brings the math…

That brings the math to my Great Great Grandfather either born or immigrated from Scotland in the latter part of the 1700s In Massachusetts.

My cousin, my father's brother's eldest son, is where I have acquired this information through his writings. He was the Anthropology Department director and the head of Basque studies at the University of Nevada in Reno. For more than 30 years, along with being the author & co-author of a dozen or so published books. He is 81 now and has so many projects in his career, and I don't think he researched the family bloodline past our Gr gr Grandfather. So, in a nutshell, that's what got me to this point. Sorry for the short. Story. I honestly haven't put much effort into this to get this far. However, it has certainly sparked a strong interest to pick up the torch where he left off. Along with visiting Scottland about 5 years ago.
Hi Timothy, I am not easily offended so don't worry that anything you say or do would be an issue. I'm guessing that unless you are 150 there are a few more gr gr's attached to that late 1700s grandfather. I am going to track down the docs that led me to believe that my Joseph was attached to Joseph and William. Will get back to you.
