<p>I use Family Tree Builder (FTB) from MyHeritage. It is free. I have 18 trees on the go, for friends, all of which I add to FTB on my PC as I research. MyHeritage offer free web-sites for up to 250 persons, and FTB and the relevant web-site sync with each other. If a tree is likely to extend beyond 250 persons I offer the "owner" of the tree the chance to pay the subscription to MyHeritage and then carry on researching and building. <p>I have not found any faults with FTB and MyHeritage over the last 15 years and it can be as cheap or as expensive as you require.</p>
