Welcome back!

Losing your home to HS2 is not a pleasant outlook.  But I note that you say 'may disappear'. Is the route not settled?

Have you made any progress with identifying your ancestors?

Percy Douglas who's grave appears in the attached photo, was born in 1875, the son of William Owen Douglas and Emily (nee Bonham). William Owen's grave is in the background in the photo. The reference to the clock was interesting, because it is being restored. The Church is St Peter & St Paul, Chipping Warden.

John, look for a private message for further details.

Welcome to our group, John.

Where are Banbury Rd and Upper Boddington Road?

I have located a Spella House in Lower Boddington, Daventry.  Is that the one to which you refer?

Yours aye,

William

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
