I think that Google doc translator may have a 10MB limit on PDF size . You may be able to split the .PDF into smaller parts to meet this requirement  . I have used 123apps pdf splitter and it works fine , its free and no downlading any programs to your PC .  https://pdf.io/split/

Load your doc to this link .

https://translate.google.com/?hl=en&tab=rT&sl=auto&tl=e...

It should generate a English version of your pdf.

I agree, great portraits & translation needed.  I find this coat of arms quite beautiful, I believe this is the same color scheme for the Scotti de Campostella. Actually, that COA should be in this album.

There are some wonderful family portraits in this book.

A great find!

Now all I need is a translation!

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
