Profile Information:

Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
All areas of Douglas history and genealogy are of interest to me.

I am keen to track back family lines that are considered 'brick walls', and hope to be able to do this through the networking opportunities that arise through media such as this.

    Hi William:

Yes, that's my Alexander. However, we now know that he was NOT the son of Robert Mackenzie-Douglas of Glenbervie, as reported by genealogist Elizabeth Leach Rixford back in the 1930's. (You and I have communicated about this on other message boards.) Alexander's parents were Robert Douglass and Jane Hunter who emigrated to the U.S. abt. 1818 (from Ireland?) and then went north to Quebec. We are stuck on Robert, haven't been able to determine his lineage. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks,

    Jody Parker

    Hi William,

Thanks for starting this site, as well as the original Douglas Archives. I was going to post my photos of Sir Howard and Sir Charles that I attached to their Wikipedia articles, but then I saw you already had.

    Take care,
    -Chris
