Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
Hello! It's time to update my search details. My records were incorrect from my original search..I'm now seeking the Irish Douglas line. I now have marriage and immigration records of Aaron Douglas who married Rose Coffey 1865 in Victoria, Australia.
Aaron's father is listed as George Douglas, and mother Mary Sweeny.
Aaron DOUGLAS(1837-1901) arrived in Melbourne on board the 'Chancellor' in February 1858, and paid for his passage out to Australia at age 20.
I have found a George Douglas in Griffiths 1854 who lived in the Parish of Rathcore, Townland of Rahinstown, Poor Law Union of Trim (the Union would cover an area with towns/villages/parish's in a 12 mi. radius), tenant of Robert Fowler..but so far no marriage or birth confirmation.
Is there anyone researching the IRISH DOUGLASES?
Any help greatly appreciated.
