Per Switzerland & Italy:--I have found in  Ponte Trese in the Lake  Lugano region.., on the home of a distance grandmother of the Scotti's I found a crest when researching my great-grandfather, Guiseppi Scotti, born in Italy on 17 Sept. 1832 but died in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 12 Oct.1900.  This  same Scotti crest I followed changes colors but  has the same 6 sided  two stars on it with a banner (stripe) from top left to bottom right.  found the Scotti history with William if you read an account by Auguissola Scotti Gonzaga.  Also on Castello di Agazzano about the castles.  This is still a work in  progress but seems to lead to Douglas/ Scotti or Scotti/Douglas -- Computer search is now really great.

My  research of the "SCOTTI" surname showed no indication of the name ELLIOTT, nor was it a first name before Elliott.  Mine has shown to  be an Italian/Swiss connection.  Richard Scotti
