William George Douglass Born circa 1768 (don't know where). Stole 4 silver pints from a John Gamble and was sentenced (in York???) 31st July 1802. Transported to Australia aboard the Coromandel 1804. My 37 marker yDNA test on Family Tree has not thrown up ANY matches so far.
I haven't been doing any research lately but today I found a record for Thomas Peters ( who was convicted with William Douglas in York) in the convict registers, have you seen this already?
Hi Daryl, I've just found another record for thomas peters on ancestry.com
it is a uk prison hulk register and letter book. 1802-1849. it shows both Thomas and William one above the other. I have attached a screen shot for you.
