A collection of historical and genalogical records
I have received the following information:
I found information connected to my family, it is a Will Instruction from Archibald Douglas which reads He has left the Burnbrae estate to his son James, if no heirs to his daughter Agnes, if no heirs to his second daughter Marion, if no heirs to his youngest daughter Margaret if no heirs to his brother William (residing at Burnbrae) if no heirs to his other brother Joseph if no heirs. to his sister Janet. Janet married a Robert Hay in 1764 but I am unable to find which Archibald Douglas it refers to or any member of the that family. I would be grateful for any information
I am not told which Burnbrae this refers to, but it is possibly in Dunbartonshire, in which case I wonder if this is the Douglas-Bryce family?
