A collection of historical and genalogical records
hello Iona, how are you? have you found more history on your Douglas side? am originally from the Atlantic provinces in Canada and live out on west coast. I am planning to get back into researching my family tree and especially the Drysdale side. talk to you soon, and your son is cute probably a big kid now, kids grow fast and we just get older. have a good weekend.
I am not sure that I have fully worked through your Douglas ancestors, but there are several documents here that are helpful.
Probably the best way to find them is to put ' Michael Aubrey Douglas and Juliana Catherine Spiller ' into Google (without the ' ) and follow the links.
Welcome to our group, Iona.
I look forward to learning more about this very distinctive branch of the Douglas family.
William
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
