Having watched the Macleans in action on Mull, this Gathering is going to take a lot of work - depending of course on how many clansmen and women plan to come.

I have still some wrapping up to do from the Maclean Gathering and then will be able to pay more attention to what we have to do for ours.

I will get in touch with you directly so we can work out a plan of action.

I am familiar with Robert Douglas, minister in Kilbarchan, and his family, but not with anyone of Irish extraction. It would be good to learn more.

Making conections

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
