Profile Information

Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
during world war two my pregnant mother was sent to stay at Brigton House Forfar and my eldest brother was born there and every child born during this time was given the name` Douglas`. this was my brothers middle name and given to me as my first name. My mother is still going strong at 92 and we would like to visit the house if it is still there

Douglas, There is an interesting photo gallery of Brigton here: http://kdhg.wordpress.com/image-gallery/brigton/

The house is, I think, owned by Mr A W Macmillan Douglas, a farmer/land owner.

Phone No: 01307 820372

Yours aye,

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
