Dates and places help making connections.: My granfather edward douglas born 1920 in south africa died 1993 his father my great grandad was also edward douglas come from scotland married a south african woman name unknown my great grandad was supposes to of came from a family of 10 or 12 children My grandad born in 1920 married a daphne playford 1945 had 4 girls. Meet my granmother during the war.

There is a fairly strong Douglas connection with South Africa, but, sadly, I do not have much on it here in the Douglas Archives.

If you search for south Africa in the History section (using the box bottom left) and in the Genealogy section (use the drop down Find menu, and search in births and deaths), you will find some results, which may help.

I would love to be able to include more, si if you or anyone else can contribute, that would be good.
