Seeking images & any information on my DOUGLAS of Cavers Ancestors

Anyone with information  please contact me I am looking for digital copies of old photos/paintings and any other documents on my ancestors including Archibald (13th Laird of Cavers) Douglas he was my 8th great-grand-father.

Archibald was Receiver General and Post Master for Scotland.

Archibald was born about 1668 and married Anna Scott, daughter of Sir Francis (of Gorrenby) Scott.   I descend from their daughter Ann Douglas, she married William Campbell about 1721.

Their son William Campbell married Margaret Campbell about 1749 in Houstry, Dunbeath, Scotland.  I am told Margaret could be related to the Sinclair's of Dunbeath, and need help from anyone to solve this question.

William & Margaret both died in Aberdeen in 1810.

Their son Alexander Campbell married Elizabeth Dick about 1792 in Banff, Scotland.

Their son William Douglas Campbell married Alexa Rennie about 1821 in Forfar, Scotland.

Their daughter Elizabeth Campbell married Alexander Anderson about 1844 in Dunfermline, Scotland.

Their son James Anderson married Sophia Tindal about 1891 in Cowra NSW Australia.

Their son Alexander Anderson married Ivy Bell Rushby about 1918 in Barmedman NSW.

Their daughter Ruby Anderson married Henry Hatcher about 1944 in Cobar NSW.

Their son Colin Hatcher is my father.

Any information about my Douglas, Scott, Campbell, Anderson, Rennie or Dick family members  would be greatly appreciated.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
