A collection of historical and genalogical records
Sir William Douglas came to our region to fight with king alfonso king of spain ''Battle of Teba'' before he moved to Holy Land ''Jerusalem''
The Battle of Teba took place in August 1330, in the valley below the fortress of Teba, now a town in the province of Málaga in Andalusia, southern Spain. The encounter occurred during the frontier campaign waged between 1327-1333 by Alfonso XI of Castile, against Muhammed IV, Sultan of Granada.
But i'm not sure about this part ''the douglas and his knights were cut by Saracens. the untold story is "the saracens treated him very well. actually he became one of them and many of his knights''

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
