Stationed at Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941, served in South Pacific during World War 2, awarded Navy Cross for heroism, 3 combat Legions of Merit for Guadalcanal, Commander of Ship's Training Group at Coronado Amphibious Base 1944-1945 and Presidential Aide to President Roosevelt.
