Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.: I'm researching my family tree and rather than deviate from one relative to another I kept going back just using fathers therefore giving me a direct bloodline and I was amazed at how far I got, the further I went the more information I found, quite the opposite to what I was expecting, George Douglas Angus 1380 to 1403 was married to Richard 3rd King of Scotland daughter Lady Mary. I am trying to get as much information as I can so I can pass it all down to my son,

Now that you have done the easy bit (!) you could set yourself the target of going back 10 generations on each line. you might be surprised at how much cross-over there is as Douglases appear in maternal lines.
