A collection of historical and genalogical records
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?

Eshe,
I am looking for some local knowledge - more local than I am, that is!
I have been asked if I can confirm that Roosevelt Douglas had a child that was born in at St Marys Hospital in Dominica on the date of October 22, 1999? Apparently there is a birth certificate with Roosevelt listed as the father and the mother listed as Myah J Bryan-Brown.
Any thoughts?
William
We have a group for those interested in the west Indies, and I hope that you will consider contributing to it. We need some help there!
I look forward to learning more about your line, and how we can help research it.
Yours aye,
William
