Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
My third great grandmother was Delilia Markesbury Hogan. The line goes back to Samual Markesbury duke of Queenbury. I am sixthysix and have been researching our family tree. The line goes to Duke of Queenbury Douglas. All the way back to Robert the Brus King of Scotland. Also the Douglas family. I have been invited to your site before but was ill for quite awhile... Through Ancestry my mother, I, and one of my sons have had there DNA done. It shows we all related as I have said to the Douglas family, the Queenbury, to Robert the Brus... We had been invited to the family reunion last year but couldn't afford to go.. My husband came into a trust fund and we are not asking for any handouts.. I would love to show my two sons their family heritage. When you have your next reunion. We are definatly coming... We have a lovely royal heritage and would be proud to show my sons and their families where they come from

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
