Note; Note; Kirtland, New Mexico, USA, from near where the Navajo emerged as a people speaking their own, dialect of Athabaskan, which brought the "'Ts' of the Russian 'Tsar', and Japanese 'Tsnamani' to the English language. "(«Ц» русского «Царь» и японского «Цнамани» на английский язык). Kirtland, Ohio, is where the first non-sanction temple of the Latter Day Saints, Saints-Mormons. I'm of the Religious Society of Friends, Friends-Quakers.

Kirkland, in Scots, Kirk (Gaelic Gil) is Scottish for Church. Kirk-land the land of the church, is a surname, of the Johnstone Parish region, of Scotland.

Is it FTDNA or FTDNК? You can see that I need all the help I can get.

That damn Crozier "t" call sign - the cross of Christ, not the bishop's shepherd's cane - was added to Elliot to make him Elliott, and those Johnstons must have been really bad because they took the t off to make him Johnson. I think "t" will cause me problems with my Russian.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
