Are any of your family mentioned in our article: http://www.douglashistory.co.uk/history/families/palestine.html ?

If there are members of the Douglas family who have made a notable contribution to society, I would be pleased to include details in the Douglas Archives.

I note that you think that the first Douglas in Palestine may have been during the 1st World War. - and I think that you might be correct.  I wonder who that was?

Yours aye,

William

Welcome to our group, Falzeh.

I am really keen to learn more about how the Douglas family came to be established in Palestine, and how long ago that was.

Yours aye,

William.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
