Which Douglas line are you researching? Dates and places help making connections.
I was researching ancestry on the Morton/Stewart line and found several photos connected to my great great great grandparents. Interested in any information relating to them and in finding living ancestors.

Hi Christina

the website link http://decorellas doesn't work please fix

Do you mean Margaret Douglas Stewart 1794 ? (if so she was my 3x's great grandmother also) Where do you get that she was born and her parents and children?

I've also done lots of research...but I need to make sure its same line/ same person

Do you have a tree

And have you DNA tested ?

Your gedcom no would be VERY helpful

If you don't have PLEASE load any DNA tests (I Pray you have done one???)

Welcome to our community, Chrissie.

Can you put dates and places to your Elizabeth Douglas? This might help others connect into your line.

Yours aye,

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
