I DID A QUICK RESEARCH ON THE LADY DOUGLAS'S I SUBMITTED. ALL OF THEM WERE DOUGLAS AS THEIR MAIDEN NAME. SUCH AS: MURIEL WAS THE DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM"LE HARDI" DOUGLAS, JOAN WAS THE DAUGHTER OF ANDREW DOUGLAS AND MARION WAS THE DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM DOUGLAS. THANKS FOR THE QUESTION.

IN THE RECENT MONTHS I HAVE DISCOVERED THE FOWLLING PEOPLE: MURIEL DOUGLAS 1282-1312, WILLIAM DOUGLAS 1414-1458, WILLIAM DOUGLAS 1225-1274, MARION DOUGLAS 1422-1500, WILLIAM DOUGLAS 1440-1464, CATHERINE DOUGLAS 1453-1499, SIR ARCHIBALD DOUGLAS 1239-1333GEORGE DOUGLAS 1429-1462, CATHERINE DOUGLAS 1483-1581 AND SIR WILLIAM DOUGLAS 1397-1437
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
