Diana: Thank you so very much for the wonderful insight this information gives. I need to digest and consider alongside the material I have accumulated. My interest is in the Twidale/Twidle part of the Drysdale name. In understanding TTD's life I'm was hoping I may get a breakthrough and be able to learn more about his grandfather Thomas Twidle. I'm assuming you have the marriage record for Robert and Elizabeth's wedding? If not I can post.
Thank you Diana for getting back to me so quickly. Yes its Angela not Amanda!
I don't mind how we communicate. Entirely up to you. My interest is the father of Thomas Twidle Drysdale, a Thomas Twidle (with various spellings) married to Elizabeth Ruth Watkins, this being her first marriage. If you have information on this Thomas Twidale/Twidle/Twydle/Twedle/Swidle/Towle I'm eager to hear from you again.
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
