Rumored to have been a clergy of Bovevagh Church near Derry. Home called “Rosebrook” near Dungiven, Ireland.

I would like to correspond with anyone who might know the parents this earliest ancestor. Children Rebecca and Margaret and Jackson emigrated with their families to Alexandria, Virginia or Baltimore, Maryland USA around 1798. I believe the others stayed stayed in Ireland.

Would love to know if and when they moved from Scotland to Ireland.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
