Welcome to our group, Nicholas.

It would help others connect to your family if you were to include dates and events (BMD) to your family information.  I notice that there are still Douglases in East Longmeadow.  is this recent information?

One such is James Holley Douglas (born June 21, 1951), an American politician. A member of the Republican Party, he served as Secretary of State of Vermont from 1981 to 1993, as Treasurer of Vermont from 1995 to 2003, and as Governor of Vermont from 2003 to 2011.

Was Sandra Jean's maiden name Douglas?

Yours aye,

William

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
