Event Description

Just a reminder that we have a Working Party at the Mausoleum on Sunday 26th April. All are welcome.

We will be tackling Rosebay Willowherb and Ivy this time, so bring gloves and whatever gardening tools you can manage, loppers and pruners will be most useful. We will provide tea and coffee to help us through the day, you should bring a sense of humour!

On this occasion you are allowed to park behind the Restaurant at Lilliardsedge Holiday Park and walk up through the woodland to the Mausoleum. Detailed instructions are in the January Newsletter and I have attached a map to help you.

We will be there from around 10.30, if the weather is poor then use your own judgement.

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
