I could not find a coat of arms like this in my Scotti research around Ponte Tresa, Lavena, Switzerland or Italy...William Douglas has a copy of the coat of arms I found so he would be a person or contact. Mine had a stripe top left to bottom right with 2 , 6 pointed stars, one on left and one on the right with a single fleur de lie on top. Colors varies from silver stripe to red background as best as I can tell. Richard L. Scotti.
You are probably right... all the diagonal stripes I found so odd.
I've tried to zoom in on this family tree myself, with no luck. Frustrating!
Yes, the armorial is a bit strange. It looks like the 'colouring in' went wrong.

Available to buy from several sources.
The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.
Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.
Professions also help.
'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
