Funny, I thought I had remembered it as being the Pringles COA with the arrow.

Oh!  Others do have the winged heart - including the Pringles.
But it is an indicator.
I too thought I had seen a crest with the arrow above the heart, but am unable to find it per temp.

Interesting. I had not realized that the wings were specific to the Queensberry line. I could swear I had previously seen this particular COA in our heraldry section.  With the arrow above the heart, but now I cant seem to find it. Only a the heart pierced with an arrow. I believe the tartan is green if you look closely. Also note the red rampant lion on top.

Stirling Castle in the background
The highlander appears to be wearing a red tartan?
Motto :Jamais Arriere.
Winged heart is usally associated with the Queensberry (Drumlanrig)  line

Whos COA is represented here?

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.

Maybe it is time to update the information in your profile?
