The Hundred were deployed by the  China Inland Mission in response to a call for workers issued in 1886. All of the 100 candidates had been sent to China by 1887. This was further catapulted the mission into the public spotlight and dramatically increased the size of the entire Protestant missionary enterprise in China in the 1800s. Also noteworthy was the fact that over half were single women.                I F Drysdale was  listed  35 .  I am still looking for info on this fellow . 

Making conections

The more information you can give about the people you mention, the more chance there is of someone else connecting with your family.

Dates and places of births, deaths and marriages all help to place families.

Professions also help.

'My great-grandmother mother was a Douglas from Montrose' does not give many clues to follow up! But a bit of flesh on the bones makes further research possible. But if we are told who she married, what his profession was and where the children were baptised, then we can get to work.
